New Villas For 2009

Algarve Algarve

Travillas has a great selection of Portugal villas for you to choose from.
Portugal:- This year in Portugal we are pleased to feature once again the Algarve, and the Silver Coast, an area of great historical interest, lush countryside and endless sandy beaches located just north of Lisbon. Portugal.

We also continue to feature the Ribatejo, inland from the Silver Coast, with our accommodation located close to the town of Santarém the region's Gothic capital in Portugal.

All three of these areas are ideal for combining a visit to Lisbon and becoming acquainted with a different area of Portugal, with a relaxing holiday in the Algarve, the popular southernmost region of Portugal.

What to see

Sintra is a very, very romantic area near Lisbon. Refuge for the lonely and enchanting scenery for lovers, make sure you see Sintra with your own eyes as each person has a unique perspective of this marvellous area.

Once the wedding present of a queen, the preserved medieval town of Óbidos lying 80 km north of Lisbon and just a short drive from Caldas da Rainha is without doubt one of Portugal's most classic walled settlements. When strolling along the maze of narrow cobbled streets of Óbidos, at each step, one comes upon vestiges of different civilizations.

Batalha Monastery. The Santa Maria da Vitória Monastery was elected World Heritage by UNESCO this is the big Portuguese final Gothic monument and its construction began in 1388. It is, definitely, one of the most beautiful Gothic monuments in all Portugal and of all Humanity.

What to do

A visit to the Gulbenkian Museum.
The Gulbenkian complex features a museum that houses a magnificent private collection of Persian art, Egyptian sculptures, and paintings by the Old Masters, as well as two concert halls for music and ballet performances.

Oceanarium Lisbon.
Serving as the centerpiece of the World EXPO in Portugal, this aquarium is located in a dramatic harbor site, which offers innovate live displays, environmental soundscapes and interactive media in order to teach people about the oceans of the world.

Bairro Alto Lisbon.
By day, this section of Lisbon is relatively quiet with children playing in the streets and people shopping; by night, it changes into a crowd of revelers crammed into the neighborhood's narrow streets to go clubbing and bar hopping until the wee hours.
